Before you buy
- Does the Tribe Watch need a subscription?
- No. Every tracking feature — heart rate, sleep and daily activity — works with no ongoing fee. There is an optional insights membership that adds weekly written reflections, and cancelling it never costs you your history.
- What does the Tribe Watch track?
- Heart rate, sleep, steps and calories, shown on a bright, simple face. It also wakes you with a soft haptic buzz timed to a natural moment in your sleep rather than a fixed alarm.
- Where is my health data stored?
- In our database on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, in the US), operated by us. Every record is locked to your signed-in account — an anonymous request to the database is refused outright — and your activity, sleep and health scores are saved under a random ID kept separate from your name and email. We use Google’s infrastructure only to run the app, with tracking switched off. Full detail is on our Your Data page.
- Is my data ever sold?
- No — not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone. Tribe has no advertising business, and there are no advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.
- Can I delete my data?
- Yes. You can delete your account and all of your data anytime. If you want a copy first, request an export at hello@tribesmartwatch.com.
- Is there a warranty?
- Yes — a one-year warranty on the watch.
- What is support like if something goes wrong?
- You talk to real people. Not a chatbot, not a phone tree — a small team that answers your message.
- Can I change the strap?
- Yes. The Tribe Watch uses a standard 22mm quick-release fitting, so any 22mm band fits. It ships with a sweat-friendly silicone band, and the shop lists compatible leather and fabric straps.
